New York Solar for All Rewarded with 4 Stars
It doesn’t come as a surprise that the future of energy efficiency and reduction of carbon emissions might come down to the cost of appliances, products and equipment required.
New York has made great strides in overcoming the cost part of the equation by consciously working towards offering affordable solar energy to low-income homes.
It’s never easy to offer renewable energy in a large scale framework, something that the state has undertaken dexterously. The 4 stars award is a symbol of the immense responsibility New York has heaped on itself in offering diverse apartments and households solar energy. Through the Solar For All Program, the state commits to community implementation of efficient energy use by ensuring that the available grid supply contains increased electricity from the sun.
Launched by NYSERDA (New York State Energy Research and Development Authority), the Solar For All piloting initiative in New York is a limited rollout of the national Investing in America program by President Joe Biden’s regime. The goal is to deliver solar projects to more than 900k low-income residences and poor neighborhoods.
In the initiative, a framework known as community solar is used to reach more households. Community solar gives tenants and homeowners access to efficient solar power without having to install solar panels in their properties.
